Also, we have enriched the scientific program of this 2018 Golden Helix Summer school with a career development and three interactive sessions, where members of the Faculty will engage into lively discussions with the summer school participants about issues related to career advancement and key topics related to the theme of this meeting, respectively.
Apart from the high quality scientific program, the 2018 Golden Helix Summer School offers an attractive social program that includes a visit to the Apollo Theater in Hermoupolis, and a traditional farewell dinner, allowing participants to get to know each other in a very informal way.
We have made every effort to minimize the registration fees to encourage participation of researchers from lower-income countries.
We are looking forward to welcoming you to Syros, Greece next September and to a very fruitful and stimulating conference.

The Stereo Soul band
Stereo Soul introduce themselves:
STEREO SOUL
Stereo Soul are a pop/soul/funk/R&B/disco/musical male vocal duet, consisting of members Panayiotis Pallis & Bradley White-Dale. They were formed while initially participating as solo contestants at the X Factor Greece 2016, and won the audience’s hearts from their very first live performance, ultimately reaching the finals where they placed third. In July 2016, they signed a recording & management contract with Feelgood Records (formerly Sony Music Greece) and performed as a live act at the Super Music Awards 2016 in Nicosia, Cyprus. During the remainder of the summer, they gave concerts throughout Greece. In September, they were selected as the opening act for Lara Fabian’s concert at the Olympic Stadium in Athens. In November and December, they gave a series of winter performances at Anodos Live Stage, as a supporting act to the popular Greek pop/rock band Onirama. In May 2017, they participated in the philanthropic concert “As if it was yesterday” with known Greek artists like Yiannis Bezos and Panayiotis Petrakis. In June, they opened the main concert of the Athens Pride Festival 2016 alongside popular Greek acts like Natassa Bofiliou and Eleni Foureira. In October, they amicably parted ways with Feelgood Records. In December, they joined popular Greek pop/rock singer Evridiki and numerous special guests like Demy and Keti Garbi in a series of winter performances at Hotel Ermou, titled “The Party”. From late March 2018 until today, they started performing their own intimate live shows at selected music venues in Athens, like El Convento del Arte and Chitirion Theater. In the meantime, since their formation, Stereo Soul have performed in numerous private corporate events for major brands like Swarovski, STR8, Shell and have maintained a presence on television by appearing as musical guests on popular TV shows like “Stin ygia mas bre pedia” (three times) or “Ftiakse kafe na sta po” (twice). Finally, they have officially submitted song entries to the Greek National Broadcasting Channel (ΕΡΤ) as candidates to represent Greece at the Eurovision Song Contest twice so far, both in 2017 with Feelgood Records and 2018 with Heaven Music.
Bradley White-Dale
Born and raised in the UK, Bradley started performing as a child by participating in a church choir. He studied English Language at Durham University and drama at the Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute of New York. He speaks five languages and permanently resides in Athens since 2014. Being primarily a pop singer with soul, jazz, R&B and gospel influences, he has performed in music venus all around the globe, including a year-long residency show at a five-star resort in Singapore.
Panayiotis Pallis
Born and raised in Athens, Panayiotis studies Molecular Biology & Genetics at the Democritus University of Thrace and speaks three languages. Despite his more academic background, he realised his vocal talent from an early age and decided to pursue a career in singing, influenced by his now retired professional musician father. His main genres are pop with soul, disco and funk influences, in addition to Greek pop/entechno music.
