Other conferences
The Golden Helix Institute has been involved in the co-organization of scientific conferences in the field of genome medicine with other scientific organizations.
In 2010, the Golden Helix Institute organized in conjunction with the US Food and Drug Administration the 1st Latin American Pharmacogenomics Conference in San Juan, PR, USA, May 10-14, 2010. Information about this meeting can be found here.
Also, in 2011, a conference on Genetics and Society in Athens Greece, 4-6 November 2011 to enhance awareness of the general public over various issues pertaining to genetics and their application to modern medical practice. This meeting is encouraged by Howard Hughes Medical Institute.

Supporting the organization of other conferences
The Golden Helix Institute of Biomedical research has been actively supporting the organization of international scientific events, such as the Human Genome Variation Society International Symposium on mutations in the genome in Paphos, Cyprus (2009) and the World Pharmacogenomics Summit in Boston, MA, USA (2011).
